Alex Tait

Alex is an electrical engineer based in Brooklyn who believes a circuit can tell a story and an essay can be executable. Dr. Tait has three years of experience in university teaching and over ten years experience in photonic hardware research, specifically in cryogenic silicon photonics and neuromorphic computing. He currently designs electronic instruments, administers open-source CAD tools with over 800,000 downloads, and leads recurring workshops on PCB artwork and local LLMs. His nascent interests include collaborative electronic art and open-source insulin production.
